Alice Powell is a fine artist whose recent works of art have been created primarily in watercolor, mixed media and acrylic. Powell was born in Minneapolis in 1938. Alice studied at the Minneapolis School of Art, University of Minnesota Duluth and the Grand Marais Art Colony where she has been a member since 1959.

Alice has exhibited locally and throughout Minnesota. She has received numerous awards including the Minnesota Rural Artists Annual Show, Lutsen Art Fair, "Proud Flesh" exhibit at Grand Marais Art Colony (1993) and UMD Faculty Show in Duluth.
